Scope and Contents

This petty cash and receipt book for May 1891 to June 1894 records receipts and revenues on the left-hand page and expenses on the right-hand page. The most common receipt entries are for board and tuition, stationery, laundry, and farm revenues. Expense categories include salaries and wages, provisions, incidentals, advertising, stationery, library, farm, laboratories, household expenses, lawn, and fuel and lights. The receipt book was maintained by Treasurer Asa S. Wing with oversight provided by members of the Board of Managers.
