Scope and Contents

This file contains bills, receipts, and other financial ephemera belonging to Samuel B. Morris. There is an invoice and receipt of payment by Samuel B. Morris to Chauncey Collins for kegs of crackers and porterage, a bill to Samuel B. Morris from Wilkins & Atkinson for making coats and suspenders, a payment to the estate of Aaron Middleton for making a coat, and paid bills from Caleb Wilkins for tailoring. There is also a payment by Samuel by "hands of Luke W. Morris" to Issac Browning for mating of his horse Eclipse with Morris's mare. Finally there are receipts related to payments for souchong tea and a subscription to the U.S. Gazette.
