Scope and Contents
This cash book employs double-entry accounting to record monthly receipts on the left-hand pages and cash "paid" (made available to) the Treasurer on the adjacent right-hand pages. The Treasurers were Edward Bettle Jr. (January 1884 - October 1884) and Asa S. Wing (October 1884 - June 1890). Extensive details are provided for certain categories of receipts; board and tuition and stationery accounts are listed for each individual student.
