Cash book, 1858 April 27 - 1880 August 31
Scope and Contents
This cash book employs double-entry accounting to record monthly inflows (receipts) on one page and outflows (expenses) on the adjacent page. Inflows appear on the right-hand pages and outflows appear on the left until September, 1872, at which time the entries are reversed with outflows on the right and inflows on the left. The cash book records the cash transactions of three treasurers: Isaiah Hacker (April 27, 1858 - May 29, 1860), John M. Whitall (May 29, 1860 - July 6, 1866), and David Scull (July 6, 1866 - August 31, 1880).
