Scope and Contents
This day book details receipts (revenues) and payments (expenses) for August 1871 to October 1877. Receipts (cash) are almost entirely board and tuition and stationery, although farm receipts are occasionally listed as well. Expenses include salaries and wages, advertising, provisions, incidentals, fuel and lights, farm, stock and implements, stationery, school house and grounds, and library and apparatus.
