Scope and Contents
This day book details receipts (revenues) and payments (expenditures) for 1849 to 1853. Receipts include cash (board and tuition payments), rent, and stationery. Expenditures are organized into the following categories: salaries and wages, provisions, school house and grounds, fuel and lights, incidentals, stationery and clothing, furniture, stock and implements, farm, library and apparatus, observatory, and gas house.
