Haverford College financial ledger, 1897-1911
Scope and Contents
This ledger employs double-entry accounting with debits and credits appearing on the same page in two columns. There is an index at the front of the volume that is organized alphabetically by subject matter, including funds, board and tuition, stationery, and vaious recurring expenses. Most accounts occupy several consecutive pages in the volume. There are several documents laid between pages 170-171 relating to the establishment of the John Farnum Brown Fund for Bible Study and Religious Teaching.
