Scope and Contents

This day book details receipts (revenues) and payments (expenses) for May 1851 to November 1853. Receipts (cash) are almost entirely board and tuition. Expenses include salaries and wages, provisions, incidentals, fuel and lights, furniture, farm, stock and implements, stationery and clothing, school house and grounds, library and apparatus, and gas works.
