Scope and Contents

A peace bowl presented to Colonel Henry Maynadier by Chutaha Tauka on May 23, 1866. Subsequently presented to Thomas Wistar by Colonel Maynadier at Fort Laramie, Whyoming, on June 28, 1866. Made of pipestone or catlinite, according to researcher David McAlester. Inscribed.
