Grants—Sloan Foundation Computing and Quantitative Literacy, 1982-1984
Scope and Contents
Memoranda on preparation of proposal to bring “greater understanding and use of the computer to the social sciences and humanities.” A grant of $10,000 was made by Sloan for planning the project. Haverford’s proposal did not receive the major grant awarded but did receive the “consolation” $25,000 grant to support implementing the plan. There is correspondence with and memoranda about the Sloan Foundation’s “New Liberal Arts Program.”
