Scope and Contents This collection contains autobiographical short stories as well as fragments of incomplete stories. Many of the stories are self-titled, and some contain explanatory details revealing the premise behind them. The vast majority of written exploits have to do with sailing and Snyder's time on "The Edith," his boat and the name of his wife. An ealier text titled "Catboats of New Haven" details Snyder's first foray into sailing during a course at Yale, which he described as his favorite....
