Scope and Contents
Her reminiscences from childhood to 5 mo 1801. She was the daughter of Jonathan and Sarah Cornelius of Long Island and raised within the Quaker community. She first married Reuben Powell, and the family moved Nova Scotia on land granted to Loyalists by the King of England. After her husband's death in 1795, she returned with her children to Long Island where she became a member on request at Westbury Monthly Meeting in 1797. She married George Weeks of Nine Partners on 1801, 10 mo 21. Her spiritual journey includes attending Quaker meetings when available and also Methodists, New Lights, and Baptists.
