Scope and Contents “Conference on Social Action for Men in Civilian Public Service and other pacifists,” scheduled April 12-18, 1943. Fuson was among the sponsors of a group of CPS men who hoped to develop at plan for more effective and alternative pacifist action and service. Major General Lewis B. Hershey placed a ban on CPS men attending the conference, and it was delayed by a week.
