Biographical / Historical
A meeting for worship at Robeson was established by Philadelphia Quarterly Meeting under Exeter Monthly Meeting in 1740. A preparative meeting was established in 1741. In 1789, the meeting for worship and the preparative meeting became part of Robeson Monthly Meeting. After the Hicksite Separation of 1827, two preparative meetings emerged. The Orthodox preparative meeting was discontinued in 1872; its members were transferred to Caln Preparative Meeting. The Hicksite preparative meeting was discontinued in 1841
