Includes a 1996 petition, signed by 12 attenders, to New Paltz and the Quarterly Meeting; a photocopy of an enclosure letter to the outside Prison Committee from Eastern's inside clerk; and a handwritten letter to Mary [Cadbury], clerk of the New York Yearly Meeting Prison Concerns Committee, from a member of New Paltz Meeting.

In February 1998, Eastern Meeting again requested New Paltz reconsider its concern against preparative meeting status. This includes that letter, from the meeting's clerk inside, New Paltz's April response to Eastern, and their April forwarding enclosure requesting Nine Partners Quarterly Meeting take over the question of status.

In 2006, an inside member of Eastern Meeting wrote a Christmas letter to a fellow Quaker, in part thanking him for the letter of support for the inside member's Petition for Release to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), stemming from their shared worship at Eastern Meeting. The file includes the letter and petition, and is restricted for 50 years from date of creation.
