In 2006, an inside member of Eastern Meeting wrote a Christmas letter to a fellow Quaker, in part thanking him for the letter of support for the inside member's Petition for Release to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), stemming from their shared worship at Eastern Meeting.
