Pennington almanac
This collection is comprised of the single volume Poor Will's Pocket Almanack. It was presumably owned by a man named I. Pennington, as it includes his signature on the front cover. In addition to the published sections of the almanac, the volume includes Pennington's notes on items purchased, payments made, and friends and family visited.
"An Abstract from the Life of Mary Pennington, formerly Springett"
Mary Pennington's autobiographical manuscript includes descriptions of her early life, the events leading up to her convincement (conversion to Quakerism), her attendance at Quaker meetings, a description of her marriage and her husband (Isaac Pennington), a description of her husband's family (particularly his mother), a description of a battle at London between "Parliment and the King" at Houndslow-heath, and a description of the English Civil War and upheaval it caused.
Pennock Commonplace Books
This collection contains a variety of poems copied by William Pennock in the years 1818 and 1821. It also contains poems copied by Mary Pennock in 1839.
J. Roland Pennock Papers
Roland Pennock was a prominent professor of Political Science at Swarthmore College where he taught from 1932 to 1976. This collection contains memorial letters which were received by the college following his death in 1995; writings including journal articles, speeches, contributions to reference publications, and reviews of his books; and his papers concerning the College committees on which he served, including Educational Policy, Divestment, and Honors.
