Biographical / Historical
A indulged meeting at Pennsgrove was established by 1820 under New Garden Monthly Meeting. New Garden Monthly Meeting (Orthodox) discontinued this indulged meeting in 1828. A meeting for worship and preparative meeting were established by Western Quarterly Meeting (Hicksite) under New Garden Monthly Meeting (Hicksite) in 1829. In 1842, the meetings at Pennsgrove became part of Pennsgrove Monthly Meeting. Pennsgrove Meeting was discontinued in 1942. The preparative meeting was discontinued in 1951, and Pennsgrove Monthly Meeting assumed its responsibilities.
