Historical Note
The John B. Hurford ’60 Center for the Arts and Humanities (HCAH) “supports the intellectual and artistic ambitions of faculty, students and staff, fostering collaboration, experimentation, and critical thought.” Major aspects of HCAH include the Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery, the Philadelphia Area Creative Collaboratives Program, and the Tuttle Creative Residencies. HCAH also sponsors performances, workshops, and faculty and student seminars. The Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery predates HCAH as a formal program, having opened in 1994 to replace the Comfort Gallery.
