Biographical / Historical
Milton Monthly Meeting was reportedly established in 1818, being set off from Galway Monthly Meeting. The Orthodox branch of Milton Monthly reunited with Galway Monthly (Orthodox), calling the reunited body Greenfield Monthly. This meeting was laid down in 1855, members attached to Moreau Monthly Meeting on its establishment in 1856. The Hicksite branch of Milton Monthly reunited with Galway Monthly (Hicksite) in 1847, meeting alternately between Galway, Milton and Greenfield. This meeting was laid down in 1865, members attached to Saratoga Monthly Meeting.
