Biographical / Historical
An indulged meeting at Mill Creek was established in 1838 by New Garden Monthly Meeting (Hicksite) for Friends at Center (Hockessin), New Garden, and Wilmington Monthly Meetings. A meeting for worship and preparative meeting were established in 1841 under New Garden Monthly Meeting (Hicksite). The preparative meeting was discontinued in 1924. By 1937, the meeting for worship at Mill Creek was held on an annual basis. Mill Creek Meeting revived in 1954 as a United meeting for worship under the two Western Quarterly Meetings. It became part of Mill Creek Monthly Meeting in 1955.
