Biographical / Historical

The Promotion Committee of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting was appointed to coordinate PYM's representation at the 1952 Friends World Conference in Oxford, England. Its purpose was threefold, viz. to distribute Vocation of Friends in the Modern World, to select 50 representatives to the Conference, and to collect donations to defray budget expenses of the Friends World Committee and to supplement travelling expenses of the representatives.
