Biographical / Historical

A meeting for worship at Radnor was organized about 1683. In 1684, it was established by Philadelphia Quarterly Meeting and became part of Haverford Monthly Meeting. A preparative meeting was established in 1701. Radnor Meeting (Orthodox) was merged into Haverford Meeting in 1835, and Radnor Preparative Meeting was discontinued in 1865; its members were transferred to Philadelphia Monthly Meeting for the Western District. Radnor Preparative Meeting (Hicksite) was discontinued in 1883; its members were attached to Valley Preparative Meeting.
