Biographical / Historical
A meeting for worship was organized under Gwynedd Monthly Meeting in 1721. A preparative meeting was established in 1725. This meeting was known as "Swamp" or "Great Swamp" until 1742. The meeting for worship and preparative meeting were transferred to Richland Monthly Meeting that same year. After the Hicksite Separation of 1827, Orthodox Friends were attached to Gwynedd Preparative Meeting. Richland Preparative Meeting was discontinued in 1932.
