Biographical / Historical

An indulged meeting at Upper Dublin was established by Horsham Monthly Meeting in 1814. A meeting for worship and preparative meeting were established under Horsham Monthly Meeting by Abington Quarterly Meeting in 1815. The opening business session was held in 1816. The Orthodox preparative meeting was discontinued in 1827, and its members were attached to Horsham Preparative Meeting. Upper Dublin Preparative Meeting (Hicksite)formed at the time of the Separation was transferred to Upper Dublin Monthly Meeting in 1941. The preparative meeting continued as a committee of the United monthly meeting after 1941.
