Biographical / Historical
Willistown Preparative Meeting (Hicksite) was formed in 1827, after the Hicksite separation in Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, out of the original Willistown Preparative Meeting. It was established as Willistown Monthly Meeting in 1939; from 1940 to 1952, Willistown Preparative Meeting continued its corporate existence as a separate meeting for business of Willistown Monthly Meeting for the purpose of naming trustees and handling other business of the Monthly Meeting.
