Biographical / Historical
A meeting for Friends in Wrightstown was established by Neshaminy [Middletown] Monthly Meeting in 1686. A preparative meeting was established in 12mo, 1722/3. In 1724, the meeting for worship and preparative meeting were transferred to Buckingham Monthly Meeting, then to Wrightstown Monthly Meeting in 1734. At the time of the Separation, two branches of Wrightstown Preparative Meeting were formed. In 1833, Wrightstown Preparative Meeting (Orthodox) was transferred to Buckingham Monthly Meeting. It was discontinued in 1850; its members were attached to Buckingham Preparative Meeting. The meeting for worship was discontinued in 1869. Wrightstown Preparative Meeting (Hicksite) was discontinued in 1886
