Biographical / Historical
Bridgewater Monthly Meeting was established in 1817. In 1828, it divided into Hicksite and Orthodox branches. The Hicksite branch, which joined with Genesee Yearly Meeting, changed its name to Verona Monthly Meting in 1840 and was laid down in 1880.
The records of the Orthodox branch of Bridgewater, which continues today as the united Westmoreland Monthly Meeting, is described separately.

Divided into series: Men's Minutes: 1.1 1828-38, 1.2 1839-61, 1.3 1861-80, 1.4 1834 (recopied); Women's Minutes: 2.1 1842-70; Vital Records: 3.1 Marriages and Removals 1817-52. Notes Vol.1.2 contains minutes of Westmoreland Preparative Meeting, 1826-28. Vol.3.1 includes a list of members of Constantia Preparative Meeting in 1853 and deaths to 1880.
