Records of Marlborough Monthly Meeting, 1972-2022. Includes minutes, 1972-2014 (when Marlborough left Philadelphia Yearly Meeting), financial and incorporation records, and records of the burial ground.

Abstract

South Central Yearly Meeting opened in 1961 as a member of Friends General Conference, growing out of the Southwest Conference that began meeting in 1957. Most of its early monthly meetings were originally recognized as such by FWCC. Today South Central includes unprogrammed Quakers meeting in Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Louisiana.

Scope and Contents

This collection includes materials about IMYM activities from the 1970s to 2007. Most of the records pertain to their annual business sessions, such as minutes, programs, and correspondence. There are also documents pertaining to committees within the yearly meeting, and external organizations that IMYM partnered with such as American Friends Service Committee, Friends Committee on National Legislation, and Friends World Committee for Consultation.

Abstract This collection includes the minutes of the Longwood Yearly Meeting of Progressive Friends, as well as records of its Financial Association and its Representative Committee. Also included are some minutes of Kennett Monthly Meeting, from which the Longwood meeting split off beginning in the 1840s. There are detailed records of this split, including lists of the members who were disowned from Kennett Monthly Meeting for associating under the name “Progressive Friends.” Minutes and letters...

Abstract

Records of The Friends of Progress at Milton in Marlborough Township, Ulster County, N.Y. Includes: Minutes, 1854-1946. Most of the first minute book is blank, with a 1906 membership list and an undated burial ground plot list at the end. The collection also includes a member list from the 1940s and some financial correspondence from the 1930s.

Scope and Contents

The Charleston Friends Meeting records include newsletters (which include the prior month's business minutes) for some of the 1960s, 1980s, and 1990s, and a more complete run from 2000-2023. Paper records include a 1981 membership list and guestbook from the late 1960s. 2023 records were deposited digitally, and include business minutes and financial and Treasurer records.

Scope and Contents

Records include both physical and born-digital records. The collection includes a nearly comprehensive run of minutes, membership directories and reports, State of the Meeting reports, a sampling of committeee records (including Peace and Social Concerns and Ministry and Counsel), and miscellaneous records largely related to the history of the meeting and its affiliation and disaffiliation with SAYMA.
