World University Roundtable Collected Records
Dates
- 1948-1960
Biographical / Historical
Established in Los Angeles in 1947 as a means of world peace education. The Roundtable envisioned a world-wide membership promoting a cultural union among nations. Around 1950, plans for a world university were being explored, and in 1960 a master plan was developed. It cannot be determined if it was implemented. Howard John Zitko was active in this organization; there may be a relationship with the World University in Tucson, Arizona, founded in 1967.
