Mifflin-Rasin-Jenkins family papers
Abstract
This collection includes legal documents and genealogical information on the Mifflin, Rasin and Jenkins families. Included are marriage records of Warner Mifflin and a will of Abraham Rasin and deeds of Elizabeth Jenkins. Also included is an account of a conversation between Warner Mifflin, an abolitionist, and an enslaved person he was about to emancipate.

Biographical / Historical
Warner Rasin, son of Abraham and Rosamond Rasin of Kent Co., Delaware, married Ann Mifflin, the daughter of Warner and Elizabeth Mifflin. Their son, Abraham, was born in 1799 and married Patience M. Howell in 1822. Abraham and Patience Rasin had one son, Warner M. Rasin, born in 1823. After the death of Abraham, Patience married Ezekiel Jenkins.
