Abstract

The collection contains correspondence received by Virginia Parry concerning Quaker meetings within Baltimore Yearly Meeting. The seven letters from a trustee of Pipe Creek Monthly Meeting discuss preservation of burial grounds and Quaker meeting concerns.

Biographical / Historical

Virginia was born in 1913, the daughter of Ryland and Nellie Wilson Wright. She married James Elihu Parry in 1954 and worked as a teacher and administrator in Adams County, Pa. Parry and her stepdaughter, Suzanne Lamborn, shared an interest in genealogy and meeting history. She was a member of Menallen Monthly Meeting and died in 2003.
