Biographical Note

Elliston Perot Morris (1831-1914) was born May 22, 1831, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of Samuel B. Morris and Hannah Perot Morris. Morris married Martha Canby on March 21, 1861, and the couple had four children: Marriott Canby Morris (b. 1863), Elizabeth Canby Morris (b. 1866), Samuel Buckley Morris (b. 1868), and E. Perot Morris (b. 1872). Morris died on December 3, 1914.
