Jane Browne Haines scrapbook

Jane Haines was a member of the class of 1891 and the founder of the Pennsylvania School of Horticulture for Women. The Jane Haines scrapbook contains Haines' one volume scrapbook. The scrapbook, which ranges from 1888-1930s, contains a large volume of personal memorabilia.

This collection contains correspondence, calling cards, invitations and obituaries from Anna Marcet Haldeman-Julius (1887-1941, Bryn Mawr College Class of 1909). She was good friends with Marianne Moore and worked as an activist/author alongside her husband Emmanuel Haldeman-Julius (1889-1951).

Alice B. Hammond scrapbook

Abstract

Alice Bradford Hammond graduated from Bryn Mawr in 1898 and later studied Greek and Latin at Yale. She was an expert linguist in Greek and Latin. She died in 1951. The Alice B. Hammond scrapbook consists of the Hammond's one volume scrapbook. The scrapbook is undated, and consists primarily of photographs.

Elizabeth Anna Harlan scrapbook

Abstract Elizabeth Anna Harlan graduated from Bryn Mawr College in 1909 with a major in English. After graduation, she acted as the president of the Visiting Nurses Association of Coatesville. She served 25 years as a board member of Coatesville Hospital. She was also highly involved with the Coatesville Presbyterian Church throughout her life. She had one adopted daughter. Abstract The poet and philhellenist H.D. (Hilda Doolittle) was born in 1886 in Bethlehem, PA. Around 1895, the Doolittle family moved from the Moravian community in Bethlehem to Upper Darby.
