Abstract

This collection primarily includes letters received by Carolyn V. Cutler and Serena A. Minard. The letters relate local and family news. One letter, addressed from Paris, describes a meeting of the Prison Reform Association. Also included are letters from Quaker ministers Jonathon D. Noxon and Isaac Wilson. These letters relate personal news and advice about farming.

Edith Dabney Ford was a History major at Bryn Mawr who graduated in 1903. Her scrapbook consists of materials from all four years of her college career and is extremely dense and consists primarily of personal correspondence and notes/poems/signs etc. from friends. However, it also contains quite a few unique photographs and gives a broad view of undergraduate life at Bryn Mawr.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Dana Papers

Abstract

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Dana was a writer and pacifist who taught comparative literature at Columbia University from 1912 until 1917. Dana lost his teaching post as an opponent of American participation in World War I. Dana continued to advocate civil liberties and the rights of conscientious objectors.
