Swarthmore Recreation Association Records
Contains the records of the Swarthmore Recreation Association (SRA) which include material on the organization from its founding in 1940 up to the year 1990. SRA was established to provide and supervise recreational facilities for residents of the Borough of Swarthmore and to encourage participation in indoor and outdoor games, sports, and athletic competitions. Among other programs, SRA offered a summer day camp for children in kindergarten through fourth grade.

The Swarthmore Rotary Club was organized April 1, 1937, and held its first luncheon on April 9th. It was chartered on April 26, 1937, with fifteen charter members. Swarthmore Schools Collection
The Swarthmore School District, Delaware County, Pa., was created in 1893 with the incorporation of the Borough of Swarthmore. This is an artificial collection, composed of records and memorabilia from various sources and organized by the staff of Friends Historical Library.
Barbara Bernhardt Swarthmore Schools Papers
Barbara Bernhardt was raised in the Borough of Swarthmore, Pa., and attended the local public schools from elementary through high school. She saved many of her workbooks and papers. They provide a perspective into the coursework and standards of mid-twentieth century public education in Pennsylvania.

The Swarthmore Tree Committee was mandated by the borough of Swarthmore to fulfill the responsibilities of a Shade Tree Commission. The Tree Committee was created in 1971. The records include the mandate from the Borough of Swarthmore, minutes, and miscellaneoous papers.
Swarthmore Village Business and Professional Association Records
Records of the Swarthmore Village Business and Professional Association, a group organized to encourage a healthy business district. The Association sponsored a sidewalk sale, Christmas Carol sing, and other activities in an effort to promote the local businesses. It dissolved in January 1994 due to lack of participation of its membership.
Swayne Family Photographs
The Swayne family were Quakers of southern Chester County, Pennsylvania. The Swayne family picture collection contains, albums, framed photographs, and loose photographs that date from the late nineteenth to the early twentieth centuries and which contain a variety of different photograph types (tintypes, cabinet cards, color prints, etc.).
